During Administration and Faculty Conference, Mrs. Sandy Aguilar- QCA Vice-President for Financial Affairs announced school’s network upgrade would be completed as soon as the school’s internet provider finish their modernization program, to meet the demand for faster internet connection needed for online classes.
In the years way back, Quezon City Academy already uses internet as they pledge to direct its curriculum and programs to technology and as for them dealing with such internet connection loss in not new. But as they face the ‘new normal’ which opens abrupt changes to education, the call for an upgraded internet service has been made.

“In heeding the call of our teachers, we are endeavor to provide our faculty and clients with improved network performance and quality of service amid the Covid-19 pandemic.” Mrs. Aguilar said in a statement.
“We are hoping that our internet providers would have a strong and reliable connectivity because at the end of the day, school’s internet connection rely on them but rest assured that we, the administration is doing the best we can to cater the needs of our teachers for their online classes.” she added.
During an interview of Miguel R. Camus from Daily Inquirer News Correspondent, according to Globe-one of the country’s Telco giant, they are now in their largest network upgrade that would be completed by 2021 to meet consumers’ demand. The company also planned to upgrade site to 4G/LTE, which would allow faster mobile internet.
On the other hand, rival PLDT begins free fiber upgrade program for ADSL users. Alfredo Panlilio, PLDT chief revenue officer, “The modernization program will boost the internet service of both PLDT Home and Enterprise customers ‘at no added cost”, he said in an interview of Raymond Carl Dela Cruz of the Philippines News Agency (PNA) Menardo Jimenez Jr., PLDT home senior vice president, noted that the users of PLDT Home Fibr can send or upload data as fast as they receive or download it. “PLDT Home Fibr enables subscribers to explore a wider variety of online activities at home on multiple device foe seamless HD quality streaming, lag free gaming, among many other services,” Jimenez said.
The Academy officially opened S.Y. 2020-2021 last September 14. Up to date few disruptions of classes are reported due to loss of connections but resumes after minutes.
