The Green Laurel awardees are the students who took and passed the Alvendia Scholarship Exam while Golden Laurels are those who graduated with Latin Honors in their respective field of specialization. The event was made to acknowledge the students who excel in their academics and brought honor to their Alma Mater.
During the program one of the Green Laurels, Janna Kirtsen Laurente of Agap– A expressed her gratitude and hopes to the Academy. She further explained how QCA transform her way of learning and dealing with self confidence in such a short period of time even they are learning online.
On the other hand, the Golden Laurel Awardees, shared how QCA allows them to find what they want, that best fits their needs and personality. They further expressed that with the love, guidance and values of all the teachers took part for who they were today. As for their advice to the Green Laurels, “We were once like you. Don’t be afraid to dream this instant that you could be among the Golden Laurels in the future. Reach your dream here in QCA, join a lot of organization and find what’s good for you. There is no harm in trying. Take every single opportunity and work hard to keep getting better and eventually come out the other side as the best version of yourself, I know. I DID.”
Lastly, Mr. Carmelino P. Alvendia ended the program through his speech, reminiscing how the Green and Golden Laurel all began. He further inspires the Green Laurel to keep soaring high and make the Golden Laurels as their mirror of inspiration and motivation to do their best and make QCA proud. He even highlighted the important attribute of a leader– to be mindful of what is happening to the society. “I believed that in our world full of negativities, I have high hopes that the youth of today are still the hope of our country.” he added. He also thanked the people behind the success of every awardees and motivated them to keep pursuing their passion in transforming the lives of students to become their best versions.
