Breaking the usual, Academy’s teaching staff holds first virtual parent-teacher conference through Zoom and Google Meet last December 11, 2020. Aims to inform parents about their child/children’s academic standing and behavior for the 1st Quarter.
It is the Academy’s yearly activity to conduct quarterly parent-teacher session, that allows both parties to be transparent with one another regarding their child’s behavior inside the virtual classroom.
The Year Level Coordinators initiated the conference under the supervision of the School’s Administrators Ms. Merlyn M. Eligio– asst. principal, Mrs. Vivien R. Riano– principal and Mrs. Sandy Aguilar– vice president for financial affairs.
Moreover, Parent-Teacher conference started with the introduction of advisers per year level and school’s administrators, followed by the discussions of important matters which were discussed by different subject area teachers.
The teachers reminded the parents about their unsettled accounts, their child’s behavior, proper grooming, attendance and including their responsibilities as parents to make the online learning of their child more comfortable and successful.
“I believe that our parents’ involvement in their child/children’s education is very important for this could also teach their children the value of school or education and why important they should and need to do well. That is why we are conducting this parent– teacher conference to remind them about that. Though we are now abruptly facing the so called ‘new normal’, this could not impair our function as deliverers of transparency to our clients especially when it comes to their child’s progress.” Mr. Victor Toring—Grade 11 adviser shared.
After the per year level parenting session, parents proceeded to their child’s respective advisory conference via google meet for further and in-depth discussion and to receive their child’s 1st digital report card.
